Mission and purpose
The purpose of the Lone Star Heritage Quilt Guild is to preserve the heritage of quilting; to promote the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of quilts; to provide opportunities for continuing education among those interested in the art of quilting; and to provide a gathering place to promote friendships with those who share a common interest.
Members receive a monthly newsletter which includes all happenings of the guild, including notices of meetings, workshops, all activities and much more.
Members may participate in show and tell at each meeting and receive encouragement and accolades.
A lending library containing a wide variety of quilting books is available for members’ use.
Circles: Small groups meet to work on individual or group projects.
Meetings, circles and other guild activities provide opportunities to meet others with similar interests and make lasting friendships.
A guild directory given to each member provides contact information of all members.
Annual dues are collected in January of each year.
